Brookmans Park WEA 2017/2018 Courses
Details are now available for the varied programme of courses planned for 2017/2018.
As usual, these will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the United Reformed Church, Brookmans Park.
The fee for each 10 week course is £72.

Farms, Forks and Flummery
Introducing a new tutor to Brookmans Park, Adam Smith, together we shall be looking at how food was produced and consumed in England from Tudor times to the middle of the 20th Century, seeing how the ingredients available changed, and the ways in which they were cooked and eaten evolved.

In the pity: Poetry of the First World War and beyond
We welcome back another of our regular tutors, examining the poetry of the first world war period at this time of marking the centenary.

Romantic Art and Architecture
Madeline Edmead has become a firm favourite with the class members at Brookmans Park, and following her very successful recent 2-part course - Art, Architecture and Society in 18th century England - her latest course will focus on romantic art and architecture.
Madeline's wide-ranging portfolio of courses includes History of Art and Architecture and Garden History, her particular specialism being the English 18th century.
