Brookmans Park Branch
Our summer outing for 2010 will be to Althorp on Thursday 22 July.
The day will follow our usual pattern, with two pick-up points in Brookmans Park - 9.00am at the top of Brookmans Avenue, 9.05am in the village centre
It is anticipated that we shall return to Brookmans Park at approx 5.30pm.
The cost for the day will be £22 which covers entry to the grounds and house, including the first floor rooms.

The magnificent interiors of 19 rooms containing some of Europe's finest private collections of furniture, sculpture and ceramics at Althorp can be viewed, including some of the Spencer family's private apartments.This painting is of Georgiana, Countess Spencer, and her daughter Lady Georgiana Spencer, later Duchess of Devonshire painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds which can be found in the South Drawing Room.
The South Drawing Room was one of the first rooms to be redecorated by Earl Spencer after he inherited Althorp in 1992
