Brookmans Park WEA 2010/2011 Courses

Details are now available for the courses planned for 2010/2011.

As usual, these will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the United Reformed Church, Brookmans Park. Each session will last 2 hours, with a break for coffee.



We are delighted that Madelaine Edmead will be returning as tutor for a 20 week course on the Architecture of the English Church.

We are also pleased that in the Autumn Term David Peacock, will be making a return with "Telling Stories in Music"

In the Spring Term, Brenda Harold is following up her most successful Genetics introduction of Autumn 2009, with a course on Plants where we will benefit from her expertise as a botanist.

Telling Stories in music
Tuesdays: 10 weeks commencing 28 September 2009:
Tutor: David Peacock

How composers over the ages have used music to depict stories, images and ideas.

The Architecture of the English Church
Thursdays: 20 weeks commencing 1 October 2009:
Tutor: Madelaine Edmead

Saxon to 20th Century - an outline of the development of church architecture in its historical and liturgical context.

Spring Term 2011

All about Plants
Tuesdays: 10 weeks commencing January 2010: Tutor: Brenda Harold

General plant biology with a practical bias. Suitable for anyone who likes plants, especially gardeners.
